The Family Engagement Survey

As the City School District of Albany continues to work through the Diagnostic Tool for School District Evaluation (DTSDE) Review that the State Education Department requires of our schools, we would welcome your input as an important part of that work. Our family/school relationships and partnerships are central to your students’ success.

Please participate in The Family Engagement Survey. Our school has its own survey with questions that are unique to our school community, along with questions that focus more broadly on district-wide matters. Each school has its own password for the online survey.

The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete and will be open through Jan. 18. Paper copies of the survey also are available at school. We look forward to your feedback!

About Sheridan Preparatory Academy
The newly constructed Sheridan Preparatory Academy opened its doors in September 2004. The school is part of the City School District of Albany's comprehensive facilities plan to create smaller, more personal learning spaces where students have the technology necessary to succeed.

The school is proud to be able to provide a range of programs and services to take care of children's academic needs and provide health and wellness services on-site. These services include a school-based health center through the Whitney M. Young Health Center and a mobile dental health services program through a partnership with St. Peter's Hospital and Ronald McDonald House.

Absence from school

If your child is absent from school for any reason, call the main office at (518) 475-6850 during the morning and provide a written excuse when your child returns to school.
