Spring concert season is here

ALBANY, N.Y. (May 2, 2019) -- Musicians throughout the City School District of Albany will showcase their skills at a variety of spring concerts happening in May and June.

 

The season opens Monday with New Scotland Elementary School’s concert at 7 p.m. at William S. Hackett Middle School. Concerts will take place through June 13.

 

Check out any or all of the concerts, which are free and open to the public. The schedule, in alphabetical order by school, follows.

Albany High School

Wednesday, May 22 -- 6:30 p.m. (Vocal Music, String Orchestra, Symphonic Band)

The mission of the City School District of Albany is to educate and prepare all students for college and career, citizenship and life, in partnership with our diverse community. The district serves approximately 9,500 students in 18 elementary, middle and high schools. In addition to neighborhood schools, the district includes several magnet schools and programs, as well as other innovative academic opportunities for students, including four themed academies at Albany High School.
