The 'new' New Scotland Elementary School

New Scotland Elementary School (formerly P.S. 19) returned home in Jan. 5, 2009, following a complete renovation of the 89-year-old building at 369 New Scotland Ave. The updated school, which celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and public tour on Jan. 6, maintains many of the classic architectural elements of the original design and blends an array of new elements into a facility that is part of the City School District of Albany's facilities project to rebuild or renovate each of its elementary and middle schools.
