Living Literature Day -- March 24, 2016

Where’s Waldo? He was spotted at Delaware Community School on March 24 along with Fancy Nancy, Harry Potter and a host of other favorite children’s book characters. It was “Living Literature Day” at the school, and students and staff alike dressed up as their favorite book character.

Principal Ken Lein was the Man with the Yellow Hat from “Curious George.” Lisa Lafountain’s entire kindergarten class was dressed as crayons from “The Day the Crayons Quit.” There were doctors and dragons and police officers and princesses. Don Quixote, Nancy Drew and Mary Poppins were on hand, along with a menagerie of animals that included the Clifford the Big Red Dog and the Cat in the Hat.

And as for Waldo … he was spotted throughout the day at places in the school where you’d usually find Assistant Principal Steve Moguel. Scroll down to see some photos from the day. Click each photo to see a larger version of it.
