Seven apply for vacant board seat
N.Y. (Aug. 11, 2017) -- Seven
community members have expressed an interest in being considered for the
vacant position on the City School District of Albany Board of Education
The board currently is operating with six
members, one short of its full membership, following Kenneth M. Bruce's
resignation in May. Bruce is among the seven people who are interested
in filling the vacancy. The candidates will make brief presentations to
the board at its Aug. 17 and Aug. 31 meetings.

The mission of the City School District of
Albany is to educate and prepare all students for
college and career, citizenship and life, in partnership with our
diverse community. The district serves
students in 17
elementary, middle and high schools. In addition to neighborhood
